Here are a few eggs that jpolk send me as part of a rock trade we made.
![]() Two of them are doubles, and the other two are about tennis ball sized. It sure would be nice to know what kind of eggs they are, and where they are from before cutting them. Can anyone help me? ![]()

I was in White Sands for the Bataan Memorial Death March (a 26.2 mile marathon in uniform with a 35 pound pack) and had a free day the day prior, so I headed over to Rock Hound State Park ( http://www.stateparks.com/rock_hound_state_park_in_new_mexico.html ), near Deming NM, to see what I could find. "Thunderegg Trail" sounded like a great place to explore!
There was lots of Jasper about... being a rookie in that neck of the woods, unfortunately I wasted an hour or two chiseling out some small bits at the bottom of the trail when I should have been up looking for cooler stuff. Found lots of little bits of Jasper and a bunch of what I think would still be classified as thundereggs; little round nodules on rock that I chiseled off. Then I found a pocket of soft material and pulled out a nice sized stand alone one. Not sure spending 6 hours scrambling around the hills, getting sunburned and packing out rocks was the smartest thing to do the day prior to the event, but I had fun! Will definitely get back down there and do some more exploring some day! Here are a few crappy cell phone pics of what I found. Now I just gotta figure out what to do with them. -------------------- Find Colorado Prospector on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/170314493176558
