Here is your chance to dig some of the best gold placer dirt in the state!! This is highbanking heaven......easy to find, nice digging and awesome scenery. Ever wondered what the big ol' dredge in Fairplay was gettin'? Now you can find out! So for the "Unofficial" opening we are going with the following rates. Weather permitting and by PREPAID reservation only. Please contact us for more info and date reservations at Colorado@ColoradoProspector.com Panning - $10.00/day Sluicing - $15.00/day or $25.00/two days Metal Detecting - $20.00/day or $35.00/two days Highbanking - $30.00/day or $50.00/two days Dredging - $30.00/day or $50.00/two days Here is a pic of a good hard days work highbanking cleaned out (8-9hrs working) This is an unimproved patented claim and there are no bathroom facilities on site yet, but there are several convienence stores within a few blocks. Hi All,
Sad news today........ I've just been informed by the land owner that he no longer wants us to teach prospecting at his site. That is very sad but unfortunately out of our control. There is a town "beach" here in Fairplay where they allow panning or sluicing for free but I do not know what their exact rules for where you dig or how that's done. You just need to stop by the town's office to get their free permit or you can print one off from our site and have it filled out already when you go to the office. You can find the towns link in our forum at this link http://www.coloradoprospector.com/forums/i...t=0entry12377 While it lasted it was a great dig site and would have become one of the best! Sadly as it turns out the owner (and his son) are not prospector friendly I guess. We will be hunting for a new site to someday offer this again.....keep your fingers crossed!! Any reservations already made (paid) at the time of this post WILL STILL BE HONORED! You know who you are. CP -------------------- CP-Owner/Administrator
