At the rally, there were classes on gold recovery held by Matt Mattson, and claim filing by Leonard Leeper. Folks were able to experience panning, sluicing and dredging hands on. There were adult and childrens panning competitions with prizes, and other games for the whole family. The children loved the sawdust treasure hunt, and there were plenty of vendors with great items for sale. This was a great time for the whole family to get together and learn a little about the history of mining then, and the equipment that is used now.
