Hello, I am a new member from California and Dan suggested I ask anyone here if they know the value of a carved Malachite Indian Head, I found buried in the sand at La Conchita beach about 20 years ago. Its 6 inches from chin to top of head & 5.5 inches from nose to back of hair.

Thanks, Geo

I don't know how muchit's worth but it sure is beautiful. You might try talking to someone
at a nearby university like an archeologist to first find out it's origin and maybe they can
help you determine value.

Hi Ca Geo and welcome to the CP forums and website. Make yourself right at home.

This is a very cool carving I thought, old or not. happy088.gif Thanks for posting it up, I'm sure lots of folks will enjoy seeing that.
Someone put many hours of work into that piece. I like the way the bands of formation play into the shape of the carving too.......TOO COOL! cool.gif

I moved this topic on into the "discoveries discussion" section too.
