This teardrop free form turned out really nicely I thought, but I really like the blue's in rocks! drool.gif Maybe I'm weird. smiley-laughing021.gif It's very very gemmy with iris agatization solidy mixing through the blue chrysocolla.
Anyways, just thought I'd share some recent cutting work in colors......hope you enjoy. chores041.gif

You did a fantastic job on that piece Dan! Here is a picture of it after he wrapped it.
Im sure your mom loves it, especially since it was from some of her dads rocks.

Thank you both biggrin.gif I was pleased that the wrapped turned out like it did and Mom says she loves it! happy088.gif
Wish I had several more pounds of that material, it's sure got the "kachow" color going on! smiley-shocked003.gif

I'll have to be really careful with the little bit that is left, wonder what shape should be next? chin.gif

Boy I sure like this blue in stone, here are several more I cut this week from the same material.
The oval (20 x 15mm) and square (16mm) are template sizes in the first picture as is the rectangular cab in the second pic. All three show a hint of the malachite layers inlcuded too where you see the light green color bleed in.
Enjoy.........

This is the rectangular cabochon (25 x 18mm) which will be polished on the backside and wrapped in sliver I'm thinkin' happy112.gif The back side has a double druzy pocket which plays a ghost to the blue owl on a tree limb. groucho.gif pic of the back will have to be updated later as I didn't do that side yet bleh.gif ......Hey Denise, miss work by hand...... tongue.gif How bout' ya' hook me up on the back polish? wink.gif

WOW!!! That's some purty stuff. I have been working a piece lately that has crysocolla ,azurite and a couple other minerals in it too. I'd sure like to know what all is in it. Does anyonr reconize any?

Definately looks like some azurite with chrysocolla Jim. Nice color mix.

Here is a 25 x 18 mm calibrated oval I cut this month with malachite bands/inclusions at both ends.

My pleasure Dan! wink.gif
Here is the backside of your beautiful cabochon Dan, sorry it took so long to give this update. blush.gif I tend to take multitasking to the max. biggrin.gif I love the way this side looks. Definately looks like an owl in a tree, with a mysterious looking ghost owl looking on.

BTW........Happy Birthday babe! wub.gif
