Nice!
I love the yellow, blue, and green contrast in the flower pic.
The "Old Man's Beard" moss is a worthy subject too, I have never photographed it but always like the way it looks.
Great shots Arbo!

The Cicada hatch progression pics are incredible!
Excellent timing and cool pics. If I'm right... I think they hatch in cycles every few years. Great work!

Thanks Chris, it was very cool to watch. I was going to video it and do a time lapse, but it started to happen when we had several kids in the yard visiting Timmy so I just mostly let them enjoy watching it.... eating-popcorn-03.gif ...and enjoyed they did!! There was another adult male on one of our posts making the really cool sound, so I was able to show them what it was going to look like when it was all done. thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Right Chris! The Grand Wester Cicada (this one) runs in a 3 year cycle. Some other Cicadas have a 16 year cycle... Wow!

I was out in Gunnison County this weekend rockhounding. A Wren flew out of a Sagebrush that was right next to me. Because the bird let me get so close before it flew I knew exactly what I would find. I leaned over and took this picture.
