I have been getting a lot of fine gold. I have been screening down to 50 mesh. I would say that around 60-70% of all that I am getting is smaller than 50 mesh. Would it be worth the trouble of screening down to 100 mesh? I use a blue bowl for cleaning my cons. Was wondering how much tiny stuff I might be losing? I am just mining with hand tools (shovel and sluice) and didn't know if would be worth the effort to try and get the mirco stuff.

It does add up and if ya' have a bucket and space to save it up, then maybe what's in a 5 gallon bucket full (or more) might be worth going through again with a special process to chase that fine stuff down. Since ya' went to all that effort digging it up.
![]() Jesse told us he can get the gold down to .5 micron with lab processes, but that was alot of work/processing and a whole bunch of cons by the batch. -------------------- CP-Owner/Administrator
