Go In Peace Forrest.
I hadn't had contact with Mr. Fenn for many months but yesterday he was in my thoughts, so I sent him an e-mail. It isn't unusual to not hear anything back but I just received word that the Santa Fe Police reported he died at his home Monday, September 7th, 2020. Recently, a video was posted showing some of the area that we've been searching the past few years. It was nice to see someone else enjoying the outdoors as Forrest Fenn tried to encourage through The Thrill Of The Chase.
The Most Amazing Place You've Never Heard Of There are only a handful of warm water geysers on Earth...and the video shows one of them we visited many times while treasure hunting in that vicinity. [attachment=11914:Inactive_Geyser.jpg] Warm Spring Creek cuts a deep canyon and here we are looking down onto the natural bridges that are also in the video. Hi Treasure Searchers,
Please let us introduce ourselves to newcomers of the Colorado Prospector forum and inform everybody of our discovery of the Forrest Fenn Treasure “NOOK” on June 18th, 2021. We are presently unknown to the Fenn Treasure Community, only being recognized as the “Wolverines” from Forrest Gets Mail #23. Forrest sought our permission to publish one of the emails we had sent to him. Attached is a copy of that correspondence just as it was posted in the thread MOST IMPORTANT INFO on Dal Neitzel’s website. That may help you better understand who we are and what we have accomplished. Like untold numbers of other searchers, we have sent many emails to Forrest over the years and he has responded back to us a few times. It was our effort to keep him apprised of BOTG discoveries and our progress towards the correct poem solution. As the first snowfall of 2019 arrived, we had finally determined exactly where the treasure was hidden. The snow continued on and on, essentially preventing the recovery of the chest. We waited all winter for the snow drifted roads leading to our search area to clear and COVID-19 restrictions imposed by Wyoming officials to be lifted so we could retrieve the chest from our search site. Interestingly, we sent Forrest an email at 8:04 pm June 5, 2020 advising that the travel quarantines were being relaxed somewhat and allowed us to plan going BOTG June 7, 2020. Just a day later, on June 6th, we canceled our trip after learning the search was being called off by Forrest with a claim the chest had been found. We recently traveled to our solution location and found the “NOOK” along with other evidence supporting our opinion that the treasure was recovered from the site about a year ago. After plotting the GPS coordinates against a legal survey map, we realized that the treasure was hidden within the boundaries of a National Historic Landmark. It is our opinion that the treasure chest belongs to the US Government! Forrest wanted the treasure to be displayed in the Smithsonian Institution and we believe our evidence will support that endeavor. If you are further interested in this matter, please follow our thread in the CP Club Member’s Protected forum in Forrest Fenn Treasure Location, “NOOK” and Supporting Evidence. Donna and I (Team Wolverine of Forrest Gets Mail #23) first found the location that matched the drawing on Page 99 of THE THRILL OF THE CHASE back in 2018.
Here's a short video of the area; TTOTC Page 99 Location Sincerely, Johnny -------------------- Annual Dues Paying Member Since 2008

THE THRILL OF TWO WHEELS
We were fortunate to have found two "Medicine Wheels" in our searching at Warm Spring Creek Wyoming. One at the bottom of Union Pass. The other was a modern version of the Medicine Wheel at the summit of Union Pass that is a Registered Historical Site. There was much discussion by the Fenn Community about him hiring an attorney to see if it was legal to hide the chest on various types of government lands. Outside of the site is USFS Lands where it would be legal to place the treasure chest. The plaque is a BLAZE with a map and description of the wheel... just like the one Forrest Fenn had taken leaning on his wheels at his Santa Fe Trail home site. It was placed on the back cover of his book Too Far To Walk. Even his signature has a "Medicine Wheel" in it! ASTROBLEME -------------------- Annual Dues Paying Member Since 2008
