Well Boys and Girls, it looks like Mr Geno is about to be nailed again... this time by that mean old lady Frances who will be visiting him this weekend... She is expected to come sometime in the middle of the night Saturday and hang around for about 24 hours.
Don't know how long I'll be connected to this computer once the winds and rain begin, but I'll keep adding posts as long as I can.

Once I shut down, It will be because the power has gone... So, I'm inviting anyone who wishes to do so, call me for your up close and personal report.

My cell number is 863-221-2873 (keep in mind that phone service will be spotty, since the cell towers get blown down on ocassion) and I would love to hear from you, so please stay in touch

You can also get reports online from the www.flhurricane.com ( some great maps here) or live radio reports at http://580wdbo.com/

We appreciate all yall' thinking of us and wishing us well... Its 8:38 pm Fri, and the winds are brisk, no problems so far... We'll have to wait and see what tomorrow brings... I'm sure John is getting quite a bit more wind than I am at this time...lets face it, he's right near where the eye will come ashore... thankfully she has lost a little strength, down now to a Cat 3 at 115mph winds... the problems will really begin when the rain starts falling.. shes only moving at 8-9 mph, so it quite likely that we'll see 12-20 inches of rain. With her size being 350 mile diameter, it will probably be a 36 hour trek across the state... whoopee freakn doo, I just can't wait!

Hey all,
Just talked to Geno this morning.
He is doing good and the power is still on at his place and so far he is doing much better than when Charlie hit.
He said that the eye of the storm is about 50 miles to the south of him this time. Still very windy and raining though.
He asked me to post here and see if anyone has talked to placerau or Harold Fl.
Geno said that he will bring the generator down to one of them if they need it. If anyone has been in contact with placerau or Harold Fl then please contact Geno on his cell. 863-221-2873 or give the number to them if possible.
Man the wind is sure howlin down there..I could hear it on the phone this morning...Geno said the huge oak across the road ain't suppose to bend like that! :o

Just got another update from Geno........
He is still doing okay but the power went out about noon his time.
When he called the eye had just passed.
They are still expecting 70 mph+ winds for the next twelve hours or so.
Geno said he has the gen fired up and is even supplying the neighbor with some juice.
Hang on Down there Geno and hopefully the winds and rain will let up early.

Well, we made it thru with no major damage. Main damage was mostly more tree limbs and lots of water around...

Everyone is OK here, We are running off generator, so the only thing we're missing is the Air COnditioner... All in all we're in great shape... Most stores are open and there is still gas available in most areas.

Matts home is another story.. he lives on the West COast above Tampa in Hernando COunty.. His area is under mandatory evacuation, he is at the Buchanan claim in GA, so he'll begin feeling the rains tomorrow from where Frances entered the gulf after passing over his home. I guess it followed him up there... He will surely have some major flooding in his area, so I'm expecting a lot of damage.. He'll orobably come home later in the week to see whats what.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers...

Wow, glad things didn't turn out for the worse. Frances appeared to be
capable at first of performing the 'coup de gras' on Florida after Charley.
Hope Ivan finds a different target as well.
