Here's an official guess: (okay make it 2) rolleyes.gif

a boytriodial red jadeite, or perhaps a boytriodial jasper or jasp agate.
It does not appear to be conchoidal from the one view we have here,
which is how a guess of obsidian is ruled out.

If I'm correct and we don't know that yet, it has been found in specific
boulders along the california beaches near a town that sounds something like Humbolt or Humble or something close.

FINGERS Crossed here...

GROSS Russ!!! :o blink.gif , but very funny. :D ;)

:D laugh.gif laugh.gif :D Funny gold tutor.
But on the serious side for your guesses......... huh.gif Botryoidal red jadeite
is a very good guess, but not correct. ;) But I will tell you that you have the right formation.
Stay on the trail gold tutor :D :P, and you'll be there in no time. :)
