WOW! Great turnout at the gold show this weekend.
Over 450 waiting in line Saturday morning. Tom Massie was there on Saturday and Sunday doing autographs and seminars. Tom was more than happy to let us get a pic of the family with him. We gave him a personal invite to the rally but I think he'll be in Alaska then....darn it. :( Tom even took some time out to make up 4 specially autographed gold pans and 4 autographed Gold Fever hats for the rally prizes! All of them are just a little different with some of Tom's drawings too. THANK YOU TOM! :D I'm sure they'll be a big hit at the rally! We met so many friendly folks and really had a great time! Mark, (ME CO) and Gat came down to help with the set up for the show. THANK YOU GUYS! We sure do appreciate all your efforts. Mark didn't get to stay for the show but he still drove two hours just to help set up. Gat got to stay for the show and helped man the Colorado Prospector booth. Leonard, Ed, Corky, and Dave were in the DEF booth right next to us and we all did some power promoting for the rally.... :D Scott with ICMJ had a booth just across from us and he gave us three boxes of the ICMJ mags to give out at the rally. THANK YOU SCOTT! I think Leonard worked out a deal for an ad in the ICMJ for the rally too.....ALL RIGHT! :D We have a at least one confirmed vendor to add to the list for the rally, and we must have given out at least 400 flyers from the DEF/CP booths..... The Gold show was a really great time!
We are still trying to catch up with everything that happened over the weekend. The funds for the insurance are still a bit shy Redpaw. We need to have some really enthusiastic bidding/donations between now and Saturday. The current auction has a very nice package of 3 pieces of Clear Creek County crystaline gold. VERY RARE! and a very big sample of the beautiful Amazonite from the Dreamtime here in Colorado. Check out the "Dixie Mine Gold" thread. Headed over to Leonards forums to post the pics shortly, see if we can get some new faces bidding on these. :D Jmann, THANK YOU for the donation you are sending through the pony express. Everyones efforts are helping! CP -------------------- CP-Owner/Administrator
