A little help for everyone!, Contact card from PLP & GPAA Options

Ken R. from the G.P.A.A. gave these cards to me at the Duisenburg outing. The card is to carry with you while enjoying your outdoors.

I talked with Jerry who is the president of the Public Lands for the People for 45 mins or so last night. Jerry's a very nice guy with lots of the right information. Jerry has given us permission to post the card for all in this forum. Please feel free to right click, save image as, and print yours now. One for your buddies too. ;)

This organization and others like it can help us all..... if we can help oursleves!
Maybe this will help some folks to not be bullied while enjoying our outdoors on our public lands. B)

Howdy All,
This is an absolutely wonderful idea! I think everyone should print out this card and carry them everytime you go out. It helps the prospector and the enforcement officer... I'm sure it's a rare bird that actually "knows it all" so we are all in the same boat and we should all try to do the right thing.
I like the idea of printing out the appropriate CFR's as well, give the officer his own copy... it's a steep learning curve for both sides on this issue.
Ignorance leads to uninformed opinions...

Just a short comment for clarity...... :)
We will post this in several places, we feel it needs to be seen. ;)

We here at Colorado Prospector are working actively to educate the public, promote small-scale mining, and network with other clubs and organizations such as the DEF/Dredge Earth First and the MRT/Miners Response Team to actively achieve these goals.
Our goal to educate the general public will be achieved through websites, forums, free rallies and educational seminars to demonstrate the modern day small-scale mining equipment of today. We also wish to demonstrate the proper use of the different types of equipment as well as the proper guidelines, regulations, and laws to follow while exploring, prospecting, and sampling minerals and gems on (Y)OUR public lands and forests.
Our intent is not and will never be to instigate confrontations, but rather to educate the unknowing as to what can occur should a person be unfortunate enough to encounter such a confrontation.

ive seen these cards from several places. and all of them are fuzzy. ive tried to set my printer to the best print setting but still fuzzy. i need to get actual card on print them out to be handouts at club meetings.

All the copies you've seen online are from the one we put up in the forum, ;) and yes they are a bit fuzzy. Just let me know, and I can snail mail you one to have copied.
I'll try to work on making this one in the forum a little clearer also.

those cards are neat, but the few times i have been encountered havent been so bad, the FS guy tried to bully us in the beginning, then after i chatted with him awhile he mellowed out, later he came back just to bs some more...lol

your right thou, a person has to know his rights, before hand, and be ready for the "encounter"
