Deposits with Uranium mineralization have been associated with very similar geology here in Colorado, USA. I've had successes in locating uranium ore in sedimentary rock that was overlain and closely associated with volcanism. That area in your photo resembles geologic features at my discovery. My ores occur above the layer of bright white sandstones that overlay the dark red sandstones. That bedding sequence seems to be much the same as observed in your picture.
Here's a photo of my area in Colorado that you might see some similarity with that mountain that you've photographed in Argentina. [attachment=3405:badito_cone.JPG] Have you prospected your area for uranium? ASTROBLEME -------------------- Annual Dues Paying Member Since 2008

IIRC uranium & thorium are both mined in Argentina. I am pretty sure in the Patagonia area, as well.

Yes , you are right :
Many people say that this scenery can be easily thought as from the US , for example Arizona ; when we arrive in Tucson , what we see through the window of the airplane is a sort of mixture of Patagonian Landscape and "San Rafael" (Condor agate sources) Please , let me know how to upload pictures , I am having some trouble ![]() ![]() Thank you! For uploading to the CP forum server you just need to use the attatchment editor below the posting box during reply posting. From there you can browse your computer and upload up to ten pics with each post. The attatchment editor will tell you how much you've uploaded and have left to use in memory too. Love to see and hear some more, great info everyone! ![]() CP -------------------- CP-Owner/Administrator
