What is allowed on land that is owned by a town or city as far as panning is concerned? Does each town have its own set of rules on this sort of thing? |

Hi Rich,
Good question to pose too........on town or city land they would have complete authority to allow or disallow as the town borad or council votes. That would also include any lands deeded to that town or city outside of it's own actual limits.....ie parks etc. Stop by the town/city offices and make an iquiry as to what's allowed, most don't mind panning at all from our experience. ![]() Hopefully when you do inquire they say "no problem" ![]() CP -------------------- CP-Owner/Administrator

My experience is I contact the town manager and explain what I want to do, where and with what. Sometimes showing him/her the stuff you're using can help. Always helped me. And I cannot think of one place that said no. But it also depends on where you're going. Don't expect to get permission to run a 8" dredge in the swimming pool!
