BLM raises fees, unpatented mining claims

Group: Admin Posts: 4,149 Joined: 7-October 03 From: Colorado Member No.: 3	Reno, NV. - The U.S. Bureau of Land Management on Monday (6/29/09) announced the one-time "location" fee has been increased from $30 to $34 for all new claims staked hereafter. Additionally, the annual maintenance fee for unpatented claims, mill and tunnel sites where no federal land has been transferred is now $140, up from $125. BLM says people who have already submitted maintenance fees for the 2010 maintenance year will be sent a notice and given time to pay the additional amount.
