A friend found this rock in North Georgia and is trying to ID it, anyone got a clue to what it is?

Hi Skip,
Interesting looking find, have you done any hardness tests on it to see what hardness range it would be in? The clevage looks similar to jade or nephrite in the pics but that can be misleading in photos. Your friend could also do a search on Mindat to see what is recorded for minerals in northern Ga.
