Hello, my name is Mimi and I found a couple of rocks that I have been told have gold. I would like to sell them but since I am new at this ..I am not sure how to go about doing so. Hi Mimi and welcome to the CP forums! I deleted your other post since it was duplicate, that way all replies end up in this one. You would need to have the stones tested and verified of gold before being able to sell. It's would be really difficult to sell a smaller piece since it usually takes quite a bit of gold ore to pay off. Ore is usually crushed and the gold removed, is quite the process in hard rock mining. Hard to tell from pics but it looks like it has quite a bit of pyrite running through it also . Very common for gold ore but gives the appearance of more gold than there really is to the untrained eye. Having it tested would be your best bet I think. Hope this info helps some.

welcome. Those are some cool looking specimens. Denise is spot on with what she said. Are those finds from Colorado?/Are you in Colorado? I havent used it, but i know the folks at the colorado school of mines geology museum can help in identification and/or point you in the right direction of who to take those specimens to. I will say, if there is any way to confirm there is gold in there, you might want to keep it like it is. Some people (like me) prefer the specimen look to having a little golden pill.

Hi. Thank you for the information. I will give them a try. I currently have moved to Aurora Colorado and are trying to get on my feet first before I send for my two boys from California. So as you can imagine...to me this could be a huge blessing for me and my boys. Now its just a matter of figuring out how I can turn it into money. Lol.
