Hello all,

I'm looking for an experienced rockhound to head up to Devil's head or pretty much anywhere in the area tomorrow morning or Tuesday or next weekend sometime. I've been up about 6 times myself to Tarryall, Lake George, Devil's head, and done a ton of research but I can't seem to find anything yet. Just want someone who has had finds before and can point some things out for me and trade info. Or maybe a similar experienced newbie, maybe between the 2 of us we can figure it out...

Sorry to hear about your thumb but I'm very interested to join up whenever you are back at it! My boyfriend and I love to go out 4 wheeling and rockhounding and we finding some luck, but striking out a lot. I'm hoping to find some spots around Tarryalls this Saturday (July 8th) that aren't claimed up. I'll keep my eye out for your postings and hopefully we can meet up!

That sucks... but that's why you've got 2 hands ;)

Hope it heals up quick!

Sorry to hear about the thumb Jimmyrig. All of those areas mentioned have potential that are not claimed but be sure to do some good research before digging or taking rocks. It sounds like you are on the right track Jimmyrig. Keep putting in footwork and trying new spot outside of claimed areas. Also keep an eye out for invites into the field.

I know the area well, will give you info on many digging areas on Rampart Range Road.
