Hopefully the pics turn out. Some nice big gold and different ores, AWESOME raw copper, more cool stuff. I'm more into gold but there are insane specimens of everything else too. There were many interesting things to see throughout the spectrums of placer and lode mining and many different displays. I can never get past the "smells like grandpa's basement" aroma of those places, it's funny.
The front entrance steps were buried in snow so we had to find another way in!
We also stopped in our favorite shop, the rock doc. They are fond of Dan and Denise there, and she did say that Dan "really knows his stuff". I agreed it's obvious haha. The lady there likes how we are more prospecting orientated than some of the other clubs, that aren't so much.
Crusty

It took us a good three hours to get through it and it's 4 stories.

The hard Rock mining displays always creep me out a little. Working underground can be sketchy and I like doing asphalt work in the sun thank you very much haha. I'd like to be a guy that finds a rich vein, then hires the pros to go down there haha
A real dream would be to find a super rich vein of visible gold that I can dig out myself slowly for a fat profit (with massive undiscovered placers just below in the top gravels of a creek for fun), and do nothing but stay in the woods and mine when I need money haha. Who wouldn't want that?
The old-timers probably had that same dream during the gold rush!
A hot spring close by would be sweet too.
