Don't know if anyone else saw this the other night but I caught a quick pic free handed. Focus isn't great but not bad for no tripod, I just used a fence post to stabilize the shot....kinda. The halo itself was huge and hardly fit in the camera's view with no zoom.

Tonight's full moon is commonly called the "wolf moon" which derives from the northern reaches where people heard the arctic wolves howling at January's moon so they called this full moon the "wolf moon"....enjoy and keep looking up! thumbsupsmileyanim.gif cheers.gif

The moon as I drove away from clear Creek last night was pretty cool; just like that but a little less dark.
