The cats in the cradle with the silver spoon, lil boy blue and the man in the moon, when you coming home dad I don't know when, we'll be together then son, we'll be together then.
What the hell is the name of this song? I always say this line at work, pretty sure it's Floyd.

Nope, not Floyd, It's the former Cat Stevens, and the song is Cat's Cradle. It has been covered by several artists, now - and some of these are better than the original - notably, Ugly Kid Joe.

I love the Ugly Kid Joe cover! If you ever need to know who wrote what song, just type the lyrics into the google search bar :)

Such a sad song.
Desenigration of familly for the gain of industry. Never having any time to be a father to your children, so they can eat, have a home, and go to school. Just to become the same part in the same dehumanizing machine
Could be why you thought it was pink Floyd
Was always my best inturpitaion of that song.

Very interesting. I never thought of it like that.. aside from the loss there of, of the dad. I can somewhat relate however, as my dad traveled a lot for business. He was around a lot, but seems the times I needed him the most he was away.
