Some of you may have heard about the large bones found at Snowmass last month. Although technically not fossils, I thought it was pretty neat and worth a mention in the forum. The bones were found in a peat layer under 6 ft of clay which prevented any oxygen from decomposing the bones or petrifying them.
Some of the bones found this week (4 tusks and some large teeth) were even bigger than those found last month and the Denver museum is very excited about the finds/site, they'll even be joining the dig site to hopefully recover more.
