Here is a fantastic piece of Colorado Microcline. This specimen was covered in a red iron deposit, but cleaned up nicely I think!
I love how different one piece is from another.

Humor aside, it's a cool tectosilicate. Does not appear to have an industrial use.
IIRC isn't one of our friends here mining the green version over by Lake George?

I think microcline is used in some way during ceramics production.



They are doing fine and staying busy with their latest mining activities I'm sure and probably finding some killer specimens too!
