I just watched a video on a fine gold recovery called the "CATCH-IT II water table". what is that great coating? slate? rubber? eating-popcorn-03.gif

It is chalk board paint. Poor man's version of slate. Works about as well though. That table is a miller's table. Very useful for separating fine gold from black sands. Will do about the same as a blue bowl but faster.

i used the "black" board paint and i wasnt very impressed with its results. it worked but not as good as i thought it should have. meanwhile Joe Mann got me a section of a real slate black board to try out.im almost done with it and ill post its results latter.
