Ok. HOW did they fail us? HOW are we to rely on them for anything? WHO made them "authorities" on anything? Credentials talk volumes, but then so does previous work.

If anyone failed anybody, it's society in general failed itself. If they were dumb enough to believe anything someone said about the environment, and didn't check it out first, then who failed who?

WE knew the truth long ago. The simpletons and idiots didn't. The "other side" found a problem and declared us, the mining industry, the cause of everything bad in the world. They pointed their fingers at us and then said "get rid of them and we'll be ok". The idiots were too stupid to bother consider the situation from all sides.

No one failed me. But they sure did fail themselves good.
