Colorado gold often has a reputation of being only flour size or very small in general but yet Colorado state produced "Tom's baby" in the 1800's at a whopping 13lbs 9 ounces from the Breckenridge area as well as more recently, a 44 gram nugget found in 2007 at the Gold basin mine.

Gold nugget in matrix found at a CP club researched area in Colorado.

Gold is at all time highs this year prompting many to study up on their prospecting techiniques and processes. For those of you who like to read up on the geologic information, this is a pdf from the Colorado state Geological Survey's Rock Talk series for Colorado gold.
Excellent reference material.
