Ok everyone.....time for some fun! biggrin.gif

Here's a cabin fever buster for all the rockhounds....metal and non-metalic rockhounds! cool.gif

These are 12 cabs hot from the CP lap shop!

First person too identify all 12 in this thread, (material only) wins their choice of two cabs from the prize pic (6 cabs) that will follow this post.

Rules are.....
Contest runs until the end of the month.........ending at Midnight on 3/31/07.

You may enter your guess once and only once!

Your must enter your guess here in this thread........you do have 24 hours to edit
your posts.......but you must use the mark your post as "edited" if you do.

Take your time and use the aloted time frame to do some research.

First post in chronological order (including edits) will win first choice of the prize cabs.
There are 6 prize cabochons so the second poster (chronologically) will get second choice of 2 cabs and then third poster to be correct gets the last two. smile.gif

Now........for a bit of extra fun!
To win the CP Placer Dirt you must give the correct locality (state only) for the following pieces.
Identify locality for pieces........ 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 11, and 12.
There is one bag of CP Placer Dirt in this contest so first poster (again by chronologic order) to get those locations right wins the CP Placer Dirt! biggrin.gif

We will pay shipping on all prizes.

Have fun with this contest and carefully post your answers! happy.gif

Thanks Dan and Denise for giving us a chance to hone our eyes to identifying the many different kinds of stone. It was a real eye opener. I learned also that some types of stone has a wide variety of looks. And,when it comes to rocks looks can be decieving. It was fun and I'm looking forward to next time.
