A friend of mine has decided to sell his 3" Keene Combo unit. Same as CP's only not as much use and I'm sure less fire hose haha. Anyways I told him I would see if there was any local interest. Has a Brigs motor and Keene pump, post here if interested and I will go get the motor/pump specs, and some pics. He just can't do anything anymore since his accident. Mark

Mark, How much are they asking for the unit? A friend of mine has been looking all summer for something like that with no luck.

Hi Duck,
I think its worth $450 myself. When I picked it up I noticed something amiss with the engine- a vaccum line or something not connected so I never tried to start it. I don't know anything about small motors. Its a 5 hp Briggs with a Keene pump. The combo unit itself is in great shape (not much use from Larry), and comes with 4 firehoses- 3 of which have fittings. Also needs new footvalve, the hose and screen are there just not the flapper. I will try to get some pics later this week if someones interested.
I had given up on selling this late in the season- was thinking of fixing it up for a weekend warrior for next year as my Dahlke is too much for a weekend special but really can't afford to spend the money anyways. Let me know what you think- I am trying to get ready to head for the river the 10th of next month and if things are going good I won't be home till Oct. You goin out for the long weekend? I will be busy readying for my vacation. Take care, Mark

Mark, my buddy, Steve, has been looking for a good deal on a decent sized unit. This sounds right up his alley. I don't know his spending limit but 450$ isn't ourageous, so I'm sure he's probably interested. I don't have his # handy though, I usually get in touch through a mutual friend who happens to be in Hawaii on his honeymoon for the next week. Awful timing huh? I'll try to get in touch with him before you hit the river. Maybe you guys can make a deal.

Well I finally got pics of the Combo. Tried to put the legs in the stand but Larry must have taken the wing bolts out. Here's pics of the unit

Hopper and hoses, as I said the footvalve is broke but the screen and hose are there. Also there are 3 firehoses with fittings and one without.

Now for the motor and pump.

As I said there is a line off on the motor (see pic)
And the plastic sleave in the pump intake has a melted edge, was like that when Larry got it, worked fine. Any questions? Mark

The other end of the disconnected line- there was a grommet in that hole the alluminum tube was in but came out while I was messin with it and didn't want to take all apart to get it back in. Mark
