Hello everyone...... Mrs CP and I have chosen Memorial day weekend for a CP club memebers only outing.
All current members are invited to come work a private claim with us and keep all the gold you find.
The claim is right in Fairplay and is on the river. Dredges, highbankers, detectors, and sluices are fine.

More details to follow soon.

Does this sound like fun to anyone else? laugh.gif

And if you are around the weekend before, join the CCC crew. We'll start out at Cache Creek for a few days and then probably be on our claim on the Arkansas. I'll post firm dates in a few weeks. If you are coming from out of town and want to get in a week or so, let me know and watch here. Come over and "Blow a froth" or two with Ed and I and the rest of the gang.

Ok! Here's the CCC plans for May. Sounds like it could fit in with CP's. You are all welcome to join us wherever we are. Especially Denise wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif Dan, you are welcome along with the Boy Detector also.

May 19th OKJohn and I will be camping at SawMill Flats on the road above Granite heading to Lost Canyon. It's the big sweeping curve with a big meadow on the right a mile or so after you start up the hill in the trees after you cross the flats. We plan on highbanking/drywashing/whatever at Cache Creek for a couple of days. Depending on how that goes, we will sooner or later, maybe, go to our High Hopes claim on the Arkansas for a little dredging. John leaves on the 25th. I may go then or if someone is around, stay for a few more days.

AWESOME EVERYONE! B) :D
It will be great to see so many CP club members at one time.

Hopefully the water will be very tolerable....as in temps, speed, and depth. ^_^
We would like to know who plans on bringing their equipmentand what type, so we can figure out how many pieces will be there and where we can put them.

Still haven't heard anything for on-site camping.....we'll keep ya posted as we find out.
There is plenty of FS land around town for those of you who would prefer to drycamp.
And for those of you who would rather not dry camp :P there are several motel/hotels in town and also several RV campgrounds.

All levels of CP club membership (and family) are invited to this outing. Cost is FREE and you may keep ALL THE GOLD you find! B)
You may use any equipment upto and including 4" intakes.

We still have many details to work out over the next couple months but we think everyone will have a great time. :)

Contact us if you are not yet a member and would like to attend.

Dan Put me down for a 2.5 inch dredge and will be staying at Whispering Aspen RV Park. I am sure Christopher (aka DredgeBoy) will be with me, along with the lovely and vivacious Geraldine Catherine(aka Gerri).
Please let me know when you firm up dates and times. I think we will have to make reservations with that being a Holiday and all.

And this is to all who want to pertake in this adventure.
Any of you who attended the Rocky Mountain Miner's Rally, Will remember how hard Dan and Denise worked and devoted so much of their time to make it a succuss
In the previous post Dan said that this event is free! Well, we all know nothing is free
As a lifetime member of the Colorado Prospectors I motion that we set up some raffles with donations to help offset any cost Dan & Denise incur.

Later today, I will be setting up another thread to post these raffles on. I will be starting the raffle with a gold nugget that is in the shape of an angel. When I set up the thread I will post a picture. I know Denise will remember this nugget. So look for the thread later today and let's get this started.

You can put a tent up at the outing spot, but it will be a little bit lumpy ...hehe

Hi, Mrs cp, my wife and I are staying in town and looking forward to the outing. The question is about the pot luck meal. we will be traveling from Okla. and would like to know what we can bring and about how much of a item is needed for the meal. we can bring can goods (corn, green beans, ect.) and heat it up on the coleman.
CP
Thought we could put together some details here in the forum for the potluck and or other eatin details.......
so far plans for eatin' are..... lunch and dinner on Saturday, lunch and dinner on Sunday, and lunch on Monday.
Dinner on Saturady will be a pot luck, so If you would like to bring something, just let us know.
We will be making smothered burritos/tacos on Sunday for Dinner.
In the mornings we will try to have coffee and doughnuts/muffins for discussions.
Lunches will more than likely be make ya' own cold cuts and chips etc.
If you would like to bring something else or contribute more towards the meals...please feel free. Contact MrsCP and let us know what you would like to bring.

We would also like to have some group discussions about history, land rights, equipment, claims, etc...maybe we can have one each morning and then one in the evenings with dinner.....or?
Feel free to make suggestions.

Gonna be a blast for all! B)

CP
Evil Ernie
