Anyone Know Of Anything In The Colorado In Grand Junction?

my parents live 300 miles away in grand junction, they live literaly a stones throw from the colorado river where the gunnison river flows into it. anyone know how the gold is right there? was thinking of taking a trip there.

There is color in both of those rivers. It is easier to find in the Gunnison but still small and few in-between. The problem might be access.
A few years ago people made kind of a mess of things between GJ and Delta. The local BLM stepped in and put that location off limits to digging. Be sure to
research your area for allowable access. Good luck, Woody.

thanks woody,
the research ive turned up thus far it said with in the city limits of GJ all forms of small scale mining (pan,sluice,dredge up to 6") is unregulated on BLM land unless otherwise posted (a claim or no dig zone)

i was more hoping for first hand experiences but if you say there is color im gonna take your word for it :)
