Never much cared for this piece of equipment. So I recently picked up some Gold Hog UR matting, pulled the unit apart, did some cutting and modifying, made the clip to hold the mat in, and wa-la, a useable setup.
Need to go get some dirt to really fiddle with it to get it set right, but as it sits, I ran some old dirt I picked up from a dry wash last year, just a couple scoops, not expecting anything, and came out with 3 nice pieces of -30. Makes me happy. Good first test.

dont be shy about running it steep I found 1.5" to 2" per foot to work best made this video the other day as a test http://youtu.be/r3xU0U9CSms |

I had a lot more angle on it than even 2". I will have to play with it, as I'm using an electric motor (2200 gph), so amount of water going over it isn't as good as your setup (of course mine is a lot smaller). But I believe I read something from Doc that you can go steeper for faster water.
Will play with it when I take it out to ensure I get the dancing particles and quick, but not complete clean out action. |

I really like the scrubber mat, it really works the material going through the sluice. Hi Caveman,
I only have the scrubber mat material... the UR was out of stock when I got this, but I like it! The A52 is 100% GH now. I have 'altered' the scrubber mat and came up with a good configuration, utilizing only two of the scrubber's big riffles throughout the length of the sluice. On the other scrubber sections... I shortened them by cutting off the large riffle and creating new joint connections for the shorter pieces of mat. I never would have thought about doing that...... That's incredibly creative, and I can't wait to see the pic's. It should look pretty good while running, and grab the gold just perfectly. Great mod!
