Just found these. Might be a little better for low profile panning than the orange ones. Cheaper too.

Yesterday I got two pair of the NW Trappers gloves from the link you gave. This afternoon I tried them on and I will say the are made of heavy duty waterproof material, and the gloves seem well insulated. They come a little over the shoulder and are held together with a thick elastic strap. Since these gloves are used by trappers in the cold to set traps and retrieve what's in them, they are not good for panning . Rather they look and feel to be ideal for long arming when one doesn't have a dry or wet suit to dredge with like me. The gloves are reinforced so they would be great for moving rocks and other slippery items in the river and are heavy duty, not flimsy looking like the red/orange panners gloves you see on prospecting sites. Having said all the above, the acid test will be early dredging season.

You are welcome Swizz but unfortunately those are in storage and we can't recall off the top of our head the brand name. bash.gif While searching for them online I did find that Atlas glove has some shoulder length style water proof gloves that have elastic cuff grabbers at the shoulder instead of tied together as ours shows in the picture. Think they ran under a 20 spot if I read the price right. Just google Atlas gloves and check out their water proof line.

Could be worth a shot for what you want to use them for.
The pair we have did work really well to keep ya warm and dry.....but, when taking them off I found the liners impossible to leave in or get back in straight, so they got removed and we just used them with a seperate liner glove instead.

Good luck finding a pair that works out for you and let us all know what you find or end up with. cool.gif

I really agree 100% with the bolded part i bolded from the quote above.....i talked to Dan The Man about this earlyer....so i removed them (red liners laying on top of the gloves) (Orange Panner Gloves are inside out) lol

Attached Image

I have some black rubber gloves that i could use for the inside part but i'm going to look around for fishermen gloves thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
