Very cool toad, I saw the ant when I enlarged it. He looks a little chubby.... my guess is "It looks like momma is feeding him well". giggle.gif
Another great macro Denise. It looks like good mineralization where you took that shot.

Thanks Swizz, it was a very fun picture to take. char098.gif I took that picture right in our yard, and yes there is some great mineralization here! happy088.gif Dan found another one in the yard and brought it over for me to see. Amazing how tiny these things are, and born with huge appetites. Good thing there are plenty of ants to go around here. laugh.gif

Here is a picture of a "gentlemanbug" on an unopened sunflower. It's a bit shy though since everyone keeps calling him a "ladybug". biggrin.gif

laugh.gif Chris, thanks. Here are a few more of the sunflowers and the guests hiding on them. So where are those cool nature close ups you have been taking? chin.gif

CP took a killer shot of the sunflower right after it opened showing a great example of the "golden ratio". Hopefully he will post it. poke.gif

You must mean this one Denise.... Got lucky on this late opening sunflower. I just love the golden ratio patterns one can find in everyday life.
This one even caught the color change in the golden ratio arcs.

Guess it's the time of the year for the more frosty look. Here is a "cool" shot I took the other morning. Today was an even colder morning! wacko.gif

Temps in the day have been alot better, but evenings are very cold still! Good open skies for watching the stars though.

Here is a cool one I took outside. What do you see?

I see what appears to be two different trees growing together. Looks like pine on top and I have no clue as to what the other might be. Just a guess.
