they are all my favorite. i only have 1 stone that was faceted and thats a ruby my friend Gene found in Georgia and he had it faceted. i bought it from him awhile back. but ive been thinking of some other stones and what todo with them in the event i find a really nice one. im looking for diamonds in the glacial streams here in the midwest. and im thinking that id just have it mounted naturaly. its neatfor me to see/hear peoples reactions when you say what it is and where you found it. once its cut, although the price is excellerated and its beautifull, butthen its just like all the rest of the stones. theres no uniqueness to it now.atleast to me! the same goes with the gold i find. nuggets are neat, refined gold isnt as unique to me, but ill take all i cant get!haha

I would say my most favorite would be a paraiba tourmaline. The color of a good teal paraiba is just awesome with a the glowing neon look. My new favorite would have to be demantoid. I just purchased a matrix piece from Africa and the crystals just sit there and sparkles like green diamonds. Of course, I would take a russian demantoid for faceting, especially with those nice little horsetails. I am also real fond of colbalt spinel. Only a few stones out there that can beat that blue.

botswana agate is my fav. it always comes out so purty. since i don't facet yet i don't have a fav for that.
