Thanks Denise wub.gif If someday my rock shop is half the size of Granny and Grandps i will be ok with that..................it took them alot of years of buying out other rock shops and traveling to get what they had but i am one up on them though because i started out way younger then when they started...............idk when exactly they did start it up but i will inform u sometime when i have talked to my grandma about it. For those of u that don't know......Granny was my grandma's mom witch was my mom's grandma.............lol so Granny and Grandps were my Great Grandparents blink.gif hehehehehe. Sometime i will post more pictures of the rock shop. I'm a wacko.gif RIGHT hehehehehe

Here is a pic of the Rock That Grows................the shiny stuff that is on top isn't crystals it is peach fuzz............this is a very weird rock........it acts like it is part of the moss family but i would like to know more about it........what i think it does is grows fuzz on the top and then it hardens.......why because under that fuzz there is hair like hard layers so i guess the top hardens and then it keeps growing makeing layers...........guess it's time for research on this one lmao........if anyone finds something let me know and together we will figure this dang thing out lmao...........thanks all for your help............this is a learning experience for us all

Strange! Ok, how fast does this rock "grow"? huh.gif
If the top that grows isnt crystals, and is more like a moss like you said, then its also soft like moss before it hardens? Hard to see it in the pics, is the top black?
Whats the host material underneath that the formation is on?

Sorry for all the questions Scott, but the more I know the easier it will be to research it.
