The first one looks like a picture from space.
Was it taken in the blue pan?
Thanks for sharing Bill!

welcome to the cp forum
Gat.
Those pics are with an Intel Play microscope for kids. It goes from 10x -to 200x. And I can even operate it! :D
The blue is a piece of paper under the slide, its hard to get enough light at 200x.
Now that I have found free milling gold in it,it is time for the assayer to do his job.I will have to go back up and spend a few days getting a trench cut, then prospect the gulch below it for placer. All by hand! I hope the area is rich enough to claim!
Here is a picture of the stringer.

Hi Bill and Kriss
Welcome to the forums.
Glad to see I ain't the only one who wonders if he can play with the kids stuff! :P
Now if I could just find the dang instructions.........hmmmmmm.
Well we sure hope that it pans out for you two, GOOD LUCK!
I thought since you were talking bout having fun with ore I would put in a pic of some Colorado ore from the Idaho Springs area.
This stuff is getting over 5 ounces/ton. :) This piece weighs about 8# and is the size of a softball.
One of our members works at this mine and will be selling some of this ore in the for sale forum soon.
This is a popular area and I don't know if they want the name of the mine mentioned, so I'll refrain till I know for sure.
Love to see the pics you two, and I hope you like this one.
