Hey!
I was more successful at grubbing for sapphires than I was last year for diamonds. Here is what it looks like so far.
Ed
Cuz Dan asked nicely, here is where I went a sapphire grubbin'

WOW, those are beautiful!
Very cool Ed!! How long did it take you to find them?
Denise-
That was about 4 and a half hours of sifting. Now, I did get carried away, as I classified all of the material with a #12 screen. I then sifted the 12+ material, and founhd the larger stones. I then panned the minus 12 material, and picked out the little tiny sapphires, and the zicons, as well as some other pretty rocks.
A lot of fun, even tho it rained a bunch.
Ed
Ed, you are such a sweet heart!!
He took 2 of his beautiful sapphires and had a pair of earings made for me for my birthday. They are beautiful!! I will get a pic of them in the next few days, and I will put it in the forum here.

Howdy Denise and a verry happy birthday.
Sure hope things are going just great back there and don't take your new earrings swimming for ducks.
Also HI to Dan and all the crew.
Just got back home yesterday and a new 4" Dahlke with air followed me home. Now for cabain fever.
Best to all and do keep em grinning.

Actually, Denise.....
It wasn't two of em. Just one stone to start, chop in half, and viola! Two matching stones.
It started off as the one in the bag that is being pointed.
Glad you like em.
Ed
Even better Ed!!
I love them! I'll cherish them forever.
Thats the kind of stuff thats going to be going on in the rock shop. :)
We will also have a live web cam on some of the stuff being worked on there.
I'm going to love it, as I don't know much about cutting stones.
