Hello

So I was out with my son( who loves rocks like me) and we found what looked like these black rocks but when examined closely in the sun and shined a light on it was a very dark green the light didn't pass threw but the edges glowed green it was found around the Colorado Springs area IDK if it's a rock mineral or just a piece of glass I know I'm short on information if there's anything else you need to make a better judgement let me know I'll do my best thank you

Hello Vasquez, welcome to the forums! thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Your find looks like a form of Chalcedony(Quartz). There is a few tests that you can do to narrow down the possibilities.

Quick specific gravity test

Mohs Hardness Test
