Hey folks,

There are many new forum members showing up this year after seeing or reading about Colorado's prospecting opportunities. Welcome to all the new comers!

After you've seen a show or been to a local show, now you'd like to begin your own field prospecting adventures. So how do I begin you're wondering and actually have some great chances of finding what I'm looking for? And most importantly.....without getting into any tresspassing situtation by mistake.

You've found the right place! The Colorado Prospector club's main goal is for you to have the proper knowledge in the field and make the proper decisions on the ground! Your personal knowledge will equal nothing less than success for all your field work at any level, recreational to professional!
No matter where (any of the 22 states with public lands) you wish to prospect, the very first step is too find "open land to prospect" in your area of interest.
Seems like a small step but it's really not and it is never avoidable! Every time one sets out on a propsecting adventure, you yourself must know where you'll be and that it is in fact open or have permission from the owner if privately held.
This type of knowledge base will also help you find any land owner or your own land ownership records much more easily if you're looking to learn about this type of research.

Don't live in Colorado, that's ok, you'll still find the knowledge base as well as all club benefits are very useful for out of state as well as in state club members.

We've also added new banners at the top of the forum pages to get details and sign up for club membership.
To clarify for payment options for club sign up.......
When signing up there are several options for payment with paypal, or credit cards (without having a paypal account) and of course the good ol' fashion pony express options.
Anyway you wish to sign up, there should be options to accommodate.
For those who do use paypal.....you'll even have the "bill me later" option available if desired.
