Hi folks, just an idea I was thinking about, what if the club came up with some templates that could easily be printed off or if the club produced some; but anyways little 2x2 cards or business cards that we could include in little plastic baggies with small mineral or ore samples; the cards saying what it is & a little info about it, with Colorado Prospector Club info on the reverse so they can get involved. I always see kiddos carrying big handfuls of rocks that "looked shiny" or "had shiny stuff in em" etc. I'm sure we all have piles of small specimens (crystals, ores, minerals, fossils) that aren't worth much, and aren't the best quality, but might just be the ticket for a young curious prospector to catch the bug. So yea just an idea, I'm probably going to do something like that in the future; just carry a few small samples in plastic bags with a card with info about the sample to hand out to little rockhounds I see on the trail with their families.

We do have templates for cards for the club. I printed several off on regular printer paper and keep a stack in my wallet to hand out to people who I meet that may be interested. I also like to make small sample bags of minerals when I know a young one is coming to a club event.
