I found this list of beach metal detector tricks and I think it's interesting to share them.

Tricks to Detect on the Beach
If you want to find treasures on the beaches of your city, surely you are interested in these tips and tricks that will make your life easier when looking for lost objects in the sand with your metal tracker.

Mark your way
One of the most pressing problems for search engines on the coast is how to know where you have already passed with your metal detector on the beach, so as not to go through the same place again. In the sand it is not a very complicated solution, because it is enough to carry something by dragging it, such as a shovel or scoop, to leave a trace on the surface of the ground of a sufficient size to be able to recognize our mark later. It's a trick that works perfectly for our journey of exploration. And if the machine that removes and flattens the sand does not pass at night, we can even use that brand for the next day.

Where to look on the beach?
The areas around chiringuitos, kiosks or bars are usually very suitable places to find coins, since they are places where people make an economic transaction, so it is very likely that they can get lost, and that they fall right there. Also the hammock areas, jet ski rental, pedal boats or any other area of the beach where people handle money, are ideal places to search for coins. And of course the towel area can be very prolific to find all kinds of jewels that people lose when shaking their towels: on large beaches it is usually the meters closest to the shore, while in small coves it may be the area of the bathers occupy all the sand.

Time of day:
If you are going to explore first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon, when people have not yet arrived or have already left, you can easily explore this area of towels that we mentioned before. So these are the most suitable moments at a general level. If you want to know exact hours where there are fewer people, that data of your beach or city in particular surely you already know yourself from experience. Think about the hours that fewer people go to the beach and take advantage of them to find all those lost objects.

Season:
The most common is to detect on the beach in the summer season, which is when bathers come. If you live in a place with a good climate, you can also look for treasures in spring when there are already people beginning. With this we do not mean that you can not search with your metal detector on the beach in winter or autumn, you can do it too, we simply clarify that you are more likely to find treasures in times when people visit the beach more. Even so, if you prefer to do it in winter for any reason, do not be discouraged, there are also summer treasures waiting for you, you may have to spend more time, but since there is no one on the beach, you can access it at any time of the day .
