Has anyone heard about water level at Cache Creek? I wanted to give it a try at the end of July if it has enough water to sluice. The last few years there has only been a trickle that time of year.

I went last year around the 4th, and there was water available to run a sluice. I've heard the same stories about no water at certain times as well, but with the bolus of snow this year, I assume water should be available.

Thanks I may stop by and give it a try in a couple weeks. That is a beautiful area with all the 14ers lined up

There is a mine up stream that has been diverting the water at certain times. It's been an issue there I've heard.

I'm not sure about legal but I've heard the flow has been down to a trickle at times.
A buddy of mine is spending the summer there digging and he told me about it. I haven't been there myself but Im making a trip there soon.

Yes.
In a nutshell, mines/claims have "first-use" rights for water and timber .
