well i caught the reruns on Saturday and when it was supposed to run again on Monday orTuesday all i got was the weather about the "blizzard" that Colorado was haveing. so i thought maybe it got taped over because of the weather so i scrolled over to the time slot for saturdays show and nothing there?? hummmm? its either me or the show only got past 2 episodes before it got cut?? anybody know whats up with the show??

We got robbed! They had 3 shows lined up back to back on Tuesday on the guide but had to sit through that blizzard watch.
I think the "blizzard" didn't amount to much either... but they were acting like it was the end of days. Enough to cancel all scheduled programming anyway. slaphead.gif

I agree with you swizz, I to was really bummed. We didn't get the huge storm here in Colorado they predicted, but they got pounded in the East by this front. The family and I went to the museum and I had to stop and look at the one that Steve has there, WHAT A ROCK! It's amazing that he got that off that mountain in one piece.

I did a search and found they are suspossed to air again this coming week. So don't give up just yet, do a search on your channels. I think it was back to back. Only see three episodes though. Woody

I got fed up and am just recording all episodes - new and re-run, so that I'll catch the ones missed because of the "blizzard", and the new one coming next week. Arrrrrggggghhhhh. The snow was pretty much gone the next day. Some blizzard.

the show came back on last night! 3 episodes. the second episode "the mountian shakes" steve broncato was complaining that his Hilti hammer drills battery wasnt holding a charge, maybe he should have checked the rotation of that drill!!!!!!!!!!! he was useing it backwards. if you watched the show, the bit was spiraling down and it should have been spiraling up for the correct rotation! so much for efficiency!

Posted by: Caveman Apr 17 2013, 03:52 PM

I have episodes 1, 2, and 4. Need 3 as I have seen 1 & 2. Dang it.... mad.gif

Posted by: swizz Apr 17 2013, 05:48 PM

I've seen 1 & 2 and another where they have a (staged) argument at a campsite... not sure which episode that is.
I have DTV with "On Demand", but The Weather Channel doesn't have this series in their list of On Demand programming. boooooooooooooooooooooo

Posted by: russau Apr 17 2013, 08:14 PM

dont worry! it reruns each saturday evening!

That may have just been an optical illusion due to the frame rate of the video vs. the action of the drill. That's a pretty common phenomenon.

yep it could be, but with him complaining about the depth of the holes and the batteries not lasting long tells me differently. oh well! he did get the job done anyway!hes a hard worker.

It looks like there is a new prospecting series on TV. It is called, “Ice Cold Gold” and I am watching it now. Oddly enough it is on animal planet, Channel 282 at my house. Not sure how they came together as I missed the first 15 minutes or so but it is a group of 8 men who team up and go on an excursion to the Island of Storo, Greenland. From what I have seen so far there is good and bad.

Bad;
Drama, Drama, Drama. I know this is only the first or “pilot” episode, but it has mostly covered the logistic headaches of setting up the trip. At one point it almost looked liked Survivor. Some of these guys have never even spent a night outdoors before.

Good;
There is little snippets from future endeavors that show real prospecting. So maybe a person can learn something from it. They are prospecting for gold and gems, so I get to learn what types of Gems come from Greenland. Some of the prospecting they are doing is with metal detectors so that is a new aspect. I also like the fact that these guys are really ruffin’ it. No comforts of home here.

The episode ended with some nice looking minerals they were looking at. New episodes air weekly on Sundays at 10PM. Guess I’ll have to check out the next one. Woody
