Poor mans Bender table, Cheap way to bend plate aluminum

*5 Door hinges (you can see in the pics what happened to the hinges when I only used 2)
*some sturdy wood boards
*some screws (2 and 3 inch)
*2 C-clamps (5 inch gap or more)

Thanks Mrs.CP. After using 5 hinges, it worked great to finish the piece in the photo. But then I got to the 2 foot long sections of the sluice. The wood handle snapped. I gotta unscrew some boards, and put 2 boards at once for the handle, then secure it again.

sadno.gif (won't have the sluice finished by the weekend.)

Oh well.

I thought about building one of these when I was making a clean up sluice a couple years ago. Another option, and the one I used, was to nicely ask a roofing company to make some bends for me. 10 minutes later, my sheet metal was bent to my specs.
