Here is a photo essay from an excellent high-country flyfishing trip a couple days ago with some good friends. We used micro-barb flies and gently released all Trout. We try to make it up there at least once a year. All of the Trout are Cutthroat (either CRCT strain or Eastern Slope Greenback... even though this water IS on the eastern slope it is difficult to tell them apart unless DNA tested and the CDOW now admits they don't know which is where anymore because of a CDOW foible). Anyhow.... they're downright purdy fish. I can't disclose this location out of respect for my friends.... and the fish. Enjoy
Somewhere up yonder... is a whole lotta fun (just gotta hike a lil bit) Morning sun at arrival This is the largest sundog I've ever seen or photographed... as you well know, sundogs are good luck! And good luck it was... some hungry cruisers BAM! continued........ -------------------- /l ,[____], l---L-OlllllllO- ()_) ()_)--o-)_) BLACK SANDS MATTER! Did I forget to mention that these fish were colorful? ...and The Supervisor - to make sure each catch & release goes smooth Good friends on an awesome day: The following 3 images were taken by my friend Cameron Turner who is a talented photographer and flyfisherman. I always enjoy his perspectives. Parting shot (by Cameron Turner with Olympus underwater cam) Cutty waving goodbye This is one of the many reasons I love Colorado. We are all fortunate to live in this paradise. -------------------- /l ,[____], l---L-OlllllllO- ()_) ()_)--o-)_) BLACK SANDS MATTER! Very Happy CP Lifetime Member CP CORE TEAM Referral Code CE213 |

Hey Swizz, you fish, I pan. Oh, wait. You catch and release. Hmmm. Well, so much for eating the fishies.
Last time I tried catch and release, I was in college and kept getting my face slapped.... -------------------- Today's socio-political climate is rock solid proof that Adam and Eve weren't prospectors.

I love trout. Never had walleye or perch (that I can think of).
