No recipe. Fresh. Take pocket knife & skin it, pulling off the stickers. Yuck. I made good with a mud puddle, though.

Here in texas they sale cactus pod in the stores. It in the mexican isles..a lot of time i can find it in the produce department...that cactus pod will also make a great bandaid.it will stop bleeding cuts.to me it tastes great like it better than colerd greens smile.gif

I've seen some nice vests made by Navajo that used Yucca. Pretty good stuff!

If you take miracle fruit before the cactus it will taste meaty. In fact, it will make anything palatable, even moss, grass, trees. They call it an acid trip for your tongue. Watched that on Future Food (on Planet green) yesterday. If you really want to eat anything out there you should check out this berry greensmilies-025.gif . Sorry They arn't showing the full episode on Planet Green website yet, but they should be showing reruns on tv since it aired on Tuesday.
