Has anyone panned the St. Vrain river near the Lyons, Co. area?
Is it worth trying out?

Regards,

Yes, the St. Vrain DOES have gold on it. George Jackson and his party found gold on it and reported it back in the 1880's IIRC.

I posted in the rally forum about the man that started the rush to Idaho Springs. You may want to read it while it's still there, it has some info you may find handy.

Hi Coalbunny,

Thanks for pointing me to your article and it's interesting content. Hope
you have time to finish it.

Where did you find a 1935 edition of "Colorado Magazine"?

Wasn't me. Talk to Steve Grimm, a historian that is in the Denver area. He has been a tremendous help to me in my search for info on George.

Maybe someday I'll find a essay I wrote when I was in college on George. I'l have to update the essay since I found new facts and the original essay is off a bit.
