Very cool. B)
The first one looks like a picture from space. Was it taken in the blue pan? Thanks for sharing Bill! -------------------- Education is the key to the future,

Those pics are with an Intel Play microscope for kids. It goes from 10x -to 200x. And I can even operate it! :D
The blue is a piece of paper under the slide, its hard to get enough light at 200x. Now that I have found free milling gold in it,it is time for the assayer to do his job.I will have to go back up and spend a few days getting a trench cut, then prospect the gulch below it for placer. All by hand! I hope the area is rich enough to claim! Here is a picture of the stringer. bill |

Hi Bill and Kriss
Welcome to the forums. Glad to see I ain't the only one who wonders if he can play with the kids stuff! :P Now if I could just find the dang instructions.........hmmmmmm. Well we sure hope that it pans out for you two, GOOD LUCK! I thought since you were talking bout having fun with ore I would put in a pic of some Colorado ore from the Idaho Springs area. This stuff is getting over 5 ounces/ton. :) This piece weighs about 8# and is the size of a softball. One of our members works at this mine and will be selling some of this ore in the for sale forum soon. This is a popular area and I don't know if they want the name of the mine mentioned, so I'll refrain till I know for sure. Love to see the pics you two, and I hope you like this one.
