All you ever wanted to know about gold recovery. You don’t want to miss this one. Noted Head Metallurgist for Newmont Mining, and long time EOMA member Doctor Thom Seal and Sean Armstrong along with other mining professionals will be putting on a Mining Seminar Saturday the April 7th following the Friday evening EOMA meeting.

So be sure to take this one in at the April 7th the day after the Friday meeting of the EOMA. Some of the topics Dr. Thom Seal and the other speakers plan to cover are Separation, (Gravity, Jig, Table, Screw,

Exploration Of a Deposit, Development, Liberation, Size Reduction, Classification,

Bowl, Spiral, Box, Flotation, Magnetic and Settling). Just to name a few of the topics they will be discussing using power point presentation, to give you a next to hands on classroom instruction.

And that is just a start. As we get closer to the April meeting we will send out a complete itinerary of the seminar being put on by Dr. Thom Seal. So mark this on your calendar as a must attend. For those of you coming over for the EOMA meeting plan to stay that night and come the Mining Seminar the following day.

EOMA members will get in for $25, non members will have to pay $50, Agency people will pay $100. All proceeds will go to the EOMA Legal Fund. For those of you that are staying over night the Oregon Trail Motel will give EOMA members and guests a discount. The EOMA will furnish coffee and doughnuts, and we will break an hour for lunch at your place of choice.

The Mining Seminar will take place at the Baker School District Office at 2090 4th Street, here in Baker City. For those of you that are out of town it is located at 4th and Broadway St.

You do not want to miss this one.

All money raised will go to the EOMA legal fund to help in the on going effort to defend miners
