After 3 years of research, we are still at a stand still...

Hello Forum! We are back! Thank you for the opportunity to share our story!

We are still trying to definitively identify this object; we have sent the same sample (now less than 2 grams) to 4 different places for testing, paid fees, shipping, and a lot of time. Well, we got 5 different results, no two the same. We have spent a lot of time researching the results provided to us. It does show similarities to chromium alloys, but no one can prove it, nor can we. The whole object has not been hand held by these professors, or tested (only a small sample has). Those proffessors who HAVE held it have said "definitively not man made." This shape cannot be fabricated in any foundry or smelter, blast furnace, or any where else on Earth. We can't be upset by the test results, but it is frustrating that everybody judges a book by the cover of the small sample. I agree, it looks like a metal. Only one place we contacted said "it needs a cosmic ray exposure test". They say that flow-over lips are unique to meteorites. We recently watched the Weather Channel's "the Birth and Death of a planet" and were shocked to see the same images on the TV that we have in our own home photos. They appear to be a near perfect match. I really do not believe that those organisms can be in a man made metal alloy. Watch the show, contact us, and we will email you a photo or two. It has been said online and on TV that a meteorite like this, IF it gets confirmed could be worth $1.2 to $1.6 Million or more. That would be a nice check. Due to our situation, we are unable to travel or pay for any more testing. A person must hold this object in his or her own hand to truly see the scientific value it could hold. We have had a few offers on this object, but we cannot sell it until we can positively identify it. They would not make an offer if they thought it were man made junk.

Some results say tenacity Low, poorly malleable, yet conductivity is good with low resistance.
Different tests show different elements. There is a reason for that. Oh yea, I did forget to mention that it DOES contain the element Ni.

This is truly an unbelievable, unexplained object. The sample has already been coast to coast and beyond. We are pretty sure where it came from, but we want to know where to go from here. To much info says it Is, but know one can prove verifiable that it's not. I truly wish someone could prove that it's not a meteorite, because the other mysteries are probably worth more than the object itself!

Let us know your thoughts, and thanks again for letting us share our story!
